WHAT YOU COMPROMISE TO GET YOU LOSE!
Living a life of compromise is often the reason things go wrong. This is not always the case, but we need to seek God about the matter. When faith seems weak and victory seems lost we need to examine our lives to see if we are compromising the Word of God. Compromise could be defined as lightly esteeming. God's Word is no compromise Truth. God does not compromise His Word nor will He allow you to devalue it. Are you lightly esteeming the Word of God? Remember that the Word of God is the written will of God. We should not compromise or lightly esteem the Word.

THE WILL OF GOD
No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. Matthew 6: 24


Jesus made it plain you cannot serve God and mammon! End of discussion! That is the answer to our economy, not a democratic or republican point of view. Serving mammon or material things simply means you trust material things more than you trust God. We say on our money "IN GOD WE TRUST", then we trust the money more than God. One guy said it well; IN GOD WE TRUST, BUT OUR BELLIES COME FIRST! The problem in our nation is the love of money. You don't have to be a rocket-scientist to figure that out. Just watch the news with a totally opened mind and heart. This nation has become like Babylon in the book of Revelation.

1 And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory. 2 And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. 3 For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.
Revelation 18: 1-3

You don't have to be a millionaire to have the love of money. Some of the most conservative people are lovers of money, not just the flashy bling, bling folks. Some of the biggest crooks and gang members wear dark suits and white shirts to work every day on Wall Street. They go to college and learn how to manipulate the system and continually steal money under legal technicalities. They destroy anyone that gets in the way of their money-making machines. Folks I have been in the meetings where the credit schemes are being developed to take advantage of less fortunate people by wealthy, powerful people. On the other hand, many broke people have the love of money. They love it but they just don't have any of it! They are like the people hooked on porn. They look but don't have. The rich guy can buy a whore (which many traveling businessmen do) the poor guy just looks and lusts. In God's eyes looking and lusting is just as bad as having. All porn is sin, so is all greed conservative or blatant.

WHAT HAPPENED TO MY KIDS?
I have lived long enough to see people have kids and see them grow up. Many that sent kids to Christian schools are asking; WHAT HAPPENED TO MY KIDS? I can tell you. "If you refuse to follow God's will for your life, don' t be surprised if your kids don't!"
I am amazed by parents who say; my kids just won't serve God! What's wrong with them? Why don't they love the God I have served all of their lives? Get real folks! If you look closely at your life you will probably see areas where you compromised or lightly esteemed the Word. Kids do what they see, not what they hear. For example; if you refuse to live by faith in God's supernatural power to deal with the issues of life, don't be surprised if your kids don't. If you won't believe the Word when physical or financial challenges arise, your kids are being trained to trust in medical science, or money not the Word. They see you as a compromising believer with a nice worthless religion, whether they say it or not! They see you as an unbelieving - believer! It is sad to see a whole generation of the kids of people who have heard faith go the way of the world. Our kids today have NO FAITH! Don't blame God! What you compromise to keep you will always eventually lose!

WHAT YOU COMPROMISE TO GET - YOU LOSE!
38 Now it came to pass, as they went, that he entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house. 39 And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus' feet, and heard his word. 40 But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me. 41 And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: 42 But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her. Luke 10: 38 -42

Compromising never works because what you compromise to get you will always lose. It is even true about the Word. The Word will be taken away from you if you lightly esteem it, but it shall not be taken away from you if you commit to it like Mary did.
You will never win by compromising!
Compromise means; To expose something or somebody to danger, to undermine or devalue somebody or something by making concessions. The compromise that hurts you the most is when you know what the Word says but you strike a compromise and refuse to do it! When you live a life of compromise, you throw the door wide open for the Word to be stolen from or taken away from you.
Who comes to take away the Word? Well, let's look at Mark chapter four and see.


14 The sower soweth the word. 15 And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts. Mark 4: 14-15

Satan cannot take the Word away from a committed believer who refuses to compromise. He could not take the Word from Mary because she refused to compromise or lightly esteem it.

WHAT YOU COMPROMISE TO KEEP, YOU LOSE
We are a nation of religious compromisers claiming to be Christians and we will soon have to reckon with our hypocrisy!
What you compromise to get, you must continue to compromise to keep and your compromises will always come back to haunt you. We live in a nation of compromisers!
· We say in God we love God but we refuse to serve Him!
· We say we are blessed, but give like we are broke!
· We say Jesus first, but we trust in mammon (material things)!
· We say we are no respecter of persons but we vote along party lines!
· We say that we are Christians, but we refuse to commit to the literal Words of Christ!
· We say one nation under God, but refuse to put His Word as final authority!

FOUR WAYS PEOPLE COMPROMISE THE WORD

14The sower sows the Word. 15The ones along the path are those who have the Word sown [in their hearts], but when they hear, Satan comes at once and [by force] takes away the message which is sown in them. 16And in the same way the ones sown upon stony ground are those who, when they hear the Word, at once receive and accept and welcome it with joy; 17And they have no real root in themselves, and so they endure for a little while; then when trouble or persecution arises on account of the Word, they immediately are offended (become displeased, indignant, resentful) and they stumble and fall away. 18And the ones sown among the thorns are others who hear the Word; 19Then the cares and anxieties of the world and distractions of the age, and the pleasure and delight and false glamour and deceitfulness of riches, and the craving and passionate desire for other things creep in and choke and suffocate the Word, and it becomes fruitless. Mark 4: 14-19 Amplified Bible


Here are the four ways Jesus mentioned in Mark chapter four:
1. Refusing to receive the Word just like it is written.
2. No depth of covenant commitment to the Word.
3. The cares and anxieties of the world entering into the heart.
4. Greed for wealth or riches.


For example; our nation and economy is all screwed up now because of greed, yet we blame the Democrats or the Republicans. That is ludicrous! Our economy is in a mess because we have put our personal interests before God! We are a nation of consumers that have to have our creature comforts. No matter who is in office, until we return to the uncompromising Word of God, we will have crisis! Commitment to the Word is the only solution. You can keep hoping the economy gets better, I do too, but I personally think the party is over! Things will never be what they used to be. It's time for change, not politically but spiritually!

PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY
It is your personal responsibility to find out if there is sin in your life and to choose to follow the Word of God! The American Church in general is sadly lacking in this area. We think because we are Americans we are Christians. Nothing could be further from the truth. We are not a Christian nation! Christianity is individual, not National!
I sense that the day is soon coming that our comforts in America will be shaken!
After the party is over, the Word and will of God will always stand. You are also compromising if you are by selling your soul to the worlds system. I have literally heard wealthy business owners say; "everyone has a price."
It is time for all of us to get real and do the will of God with our lives from the heart. Like Jesus did. I am not talking about religion, but reality so don't get hyper-spiritual and start slapping cigars out of peoples' hands in Jesus Name. Jesus was a friend of sinners!


10-11 Later when Jesus was eating supper at Matthew's house with his close followers, a lot of disreputable characters came and joined them. When the Pharisees saw him keeping this kind of company, they had a fit, and lit into Jesus' followers. "What kind of example is this from your Teacher, acting cozy with crooks and riffraff?" Matthew 9:10 (The Message)

That's the kind of Jesus we serve. He loves the sinner but hates the sin. When everything seems to be going wrong it is time to get real with the Man.


PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY
It is your personal responsibility to find out if there is sin in your life and to choose to follow the Word of God! The American Church in general is sadly lacking in this area. We think because we are Americans we are Christians. Nothing could be further from the truth. We are not a Christian nation! I sense that the day is soon coming that our comforts in America will really be shaken! This current economic crisis is our wake up call. Will you answer the call?
